After the announcement of Vaani Kapoor playing the main lead role opposite Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh has joined the cast as a villain in the film.
Raid 2 is being directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also oversaw the original installment. Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar took the role of producing the film.

Raid was released on March 16th, 2018, and written by Riteish Shah. The story is based on the actual event of an income-tax raid on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s; the movie stands out for being the longest raid in Indian history, spanning three days and two nights, carried out by Income Tax Department officers.
The filming of this installment will take place in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, which started last week in Mumbai. Raid 2 will be released on November 15th, 2024, in cinemas.
Ajay and Riteish have previously worked together in many comedy films, but this is the first time they are sharing the screen as protagonist and antagonist.
