Kon’nichiwa! Let’s talk about Demons, in anime, of course! Don’t get spooked yet! Today we bring you a list of the Top 10 Strongest Demon Anime Characters, ranked and discussed (2022). No doubt, many exciting Demon characters in the anime world could be on par with each other when compared, and that would be an endless list.
Nevertheless, for this list, we have considered their strength, abilities, and weaknesses shown in the anime and manga as well. So, without any further ado, let’s begin.

10) Albedo-
Anime- Overlord
Albedo is one of the strongest demon anime characters. She is the highest-ranking and the most beautiful demon in the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, holding the title of the Guardian Overseer.
She is shown to have the highest defense power among all N.P.C. characters in Nazarick. Her most potent defense equipment is an impenetrable armor that could absorb and render any attack against her useless.
She is also shown to have an incredible amount of physical strength that could shatter the half of a fortress! However, she does have a limit to her powers because her armor will get saturated and fall apart at some point. Hence, she ranks the lowest on this list.
9) Sebastian Michaeils-
Anime- Black Butler
Sebastian is one of the most handsome and fan’s favorite Demon Butler in the anime world. He is the highly skilled and dedicated Butler of Phantomhive Mansion with his iconic line, “I’m simply one hell of a Butler.”Â
Sebastian is immune to any man-made weapon and can simply catch a bullet with his teeth. He is incredibly fast, strong, agile, and has enhanced senses. Since he is a demon, he doesn’t get tired or need sleep.
He even has many supernatural abilities such as shapeshifting, levitation, controlling fire, summoning objects, regeneration, the ability to detect human souls from miles away, etc. He can even speak multiple languages! The only weapon that can harm him is a grim reaper’s scythe.
8) Kibutsuji Muzan-
Anime- Demon Slayer
It is no surprise that Muzan being the main antagonist in Demon Slayer is dangerously powerful. He was the first demon. Therefore, he’s titled the “Demon Lord.”
Muzan has created extremely powerful demons using his blood and can control them at his will. He can also transfer his blood into anybody along with some part of his consciousness giving him the ability to live forever.
He also has abilities like shapeshifting, telepathy, curses, immense speed, and physical strength. Countless exceptional demon slayers succumbed to his power during their fight throughout centuries!
7) Etherious Natsu Dragneel (E.N.D)-
Anime- Fairy Tail
Natsu Dragneel, being the main protagonist of Fairy Tail, was also an Etherious, giving him the ability to tap into his demonic powers.
However, he was the only Etherious who could retain his humanity, making him uncontrollable and invincible. His “E.N.D.” form boosted his already overpowered powers to a level that could even surpass gods.
He was the only character in the series who eradicated the exceptionally powerful and immortal creator of all demons, Zeref. We can never leave Natsu off of our list.
6) Demon King Derkila-
Anime- Welcome to Demon High School! Iruma-kun
Derkila is one of the strongest demon characters in the anime world. He is the Demon King of the Demon World in the series. He is said to be the most powerful Demon Lord of all times.
His commands were so absolute that no demon could disobey even willingly. Even though his whereabouts are unknown, some of his closest subjects still narrate the tales of his power and rule.
Derkila’s magic was so strong in the series that even after his disappearance, it sustained in one of the school classrooms, keeping it in the same conditions throughout the years! There are even countless fan theories about the extent of his power!
5) Lucifer~Rin Okumura-
Anime- Blue Exorcist
Lucifer is the strongest of the eight Demon Kings of Gehenna (Demon Realm) in the series. He is yet to be revealed in the anime. We only have some information in the manga that proves his powers to be unbeatable.
The second strongest and the most clever Demon King, Mephisto Pheles, admitted that even he doesn’t stand a chance against him. Another instance would be when he combusted a human being without even raising a finger, leaving behind only smoke!
Rin Okumura, the main protagonist in his prime, is deemed the only one who could defeat him. Well, he’s the son of Satan too. Naturally, he inherited Satan’s destructive Blue Flames. Hence, these two characters are the strongest in the series and are tied for 5th place.
4) Ryomen Sukuna-
Anime- Jujutsu Kaisen
The second Jujutsu Kaisen was aired, it immediately swept in all of us under its fandom. Sukuna is the ultimate antagonist of the series boasting the title of “The King of Curses,” and no Jujutsu sorcerer was able to defeat him in his prime around 1000 years ago.
It took a staggering number of Jujutsu sorcerers to destroy him, but even then, his cursed spirit couldn’t be contained in his body. Jujutsu sorcerers had to split his 20 fingers and seal them with powerful sorcery. Their powers kept growing even after being split!
He even has a dangerous amount of physical strength and can create as many limbs, eyes, and mouth as himself. He’s fans’ favorite demon king in the series and definitely one of the strongest!
3) Sirzechs Lucifer-
Anime- High School DxD
Well, when it comes to High School DxD, no fan would disagree that Sirzechs Lucifer is the strongest demon lord of the series. Also known as Crimson Satan, he ruled the underworld with absolute power alongside his fellow Satans.
Sirzechs’s Power of Destruction was so strong, right since his birth, that he unleashed it subconsciously and trashed the entire room; nobody could even hold him.
He also has extremely powerful and unbreakable magical abilities, which he inherited from his parents, and his overall power was difficult to control even by himself!
2) Lucifero-
Anime- Black Clover
Lucifero is undoubtedly the strongest devil of the underworld in the Black Clover series. His magic is so strong that it can destroy the living world if unleashed. Physically, he has incredible speed, strength, and endurance. Most of the lethal magic in the series is useless against him.
Additionally, he can also possess other devils regardless of their location, allowing him to control them at will. He can even merge them into one being and manifest the body! He is almost unbeatable with lethal powers and deserves 2nd place in our list.
1) Meliodas-
Anime- Seven Deadly Sins
Meliodas is by far the strongest and most unique demonic anime character we’ve witnessed. He was capable of overpowering the Demon King, who was untouchable by even some of the most powerful characters in the series.
Meliodas’s power is so diverse and scary that he can stop immortal characters in the series from regenerating using his Hellblaze, ultimately eliminating them.
His ultimate power is Full Counter which can absorb any attack against him and inflict it back to the opponent with much greater power. Ergo, the stronger his opponent, the more invincible he becomes! He’s the most overpoweredcharacter of the series and worthy of the first place.
