We had all noticed that Black Clover Chapter 359 had not dropped on time. The last chapter ended on a cliffhanger and we would like to know what will happen to Mereoleona and Fuegoleon.
Since the chapter was delayed too, the raw scans were also not released for the chapter. Tabata had already intimated about this, that the chapter will be delayed for a few weeks.
Black Clover Chapter 359 Delayed
According to the official Mangaplus Shueisha, the release date for Black Clover Chapter 359 is May 21st now. The raw scans for the chapter should release on May 17th, considering the general trend of how spoilers release every Wednesday.
One of the reasons for the delay of the chapter, is the Magazine being on a one-week hiatus. This means that even if Black Clover Chapter 359 was completed on time, it wouldn’t have been released this week either way.
The same goes for the other Shounen manga series in the magazine. There would be not any new chapter for them also in this upcoming week since the magazine is on a hiatus.
The next reason is that Tabata, the mangaka for Black Clover had already announced before this that the manga will be going on a one-month hiatus. This now puts the release date of the next chapter on May 21st.
The date was also confirmed on digital platforms like Viz Media. They have the full collection of the manga and always update the release date of the next chapter accordingly.
This is a much-needed break for the mangaka, as he is already pressured under a lot of workloads. Black Clover game took to Twitter to announce the completion of the game, and this might be one of the possible reasons he is busy.

On top of this, there are also the extra volumes and the volume covers that he has to draw. These would need to get published soon for sales, and it is not a wonder that they take priority.
This is not the end, as there is the issue of the Black Clover Movie release too. The movie was already delayed once from March 31st to June 16th due to Covid-19.
The production of the movie was affected severely, and so they had no choice but to delay the release date of the movie. Delaying the movie yet again, would create problems, so the movie would probably be the highest priority to complete.
Black Clover Chapter 359: What to Expect?
With the next chapter, we can expect a beautifully drawn 2-page spread of the upcoming battle. The mangaka has been drawing this for highlighting many events in the recent chapters.
Mereoleona is fighting off against the Paladin on its own, while her squad members are gladly giving up their lives to support her flames. She proclaimed that she will burn him away with her flames even if it means sacrificing her life.
The next chapter might mean the end for one of our favorite characters. Her hand was already burned up by the Paladin’s attack. And also she seems to have a hard time fighting him now.
This might end up being one of her best battles till now. We saw how splendidly Jack the Ripper went down in battle and this might also be the case for Mereoleona.
