Classroom Of The Elite Season 3: All Major Characters
1) Kiyotaka Ayanokouji
The very first major character that we need to discuss is the protagonist himself: Kiyotaka Ayanokouji. Currently, he’s a student of Class 2-D at Advanced Nurturing High School. Quiet and socially awkward, Ayanokouji isn’t just a shy introvert but one of the most brilliant students in the school.
Ayanokouji is a very shrewd individual who’s always thinking ahead of others. He’s smart, astute, and ruthless in his pursuit of his goals. The boy possesses many talents but he isn’t boastful about them, rather he prefers to hide what he’s really capable of.
2) Suzune Horikita
One of the main characters of Classroom Of The Elite, Suzune Horikita is once again under the focus in Season 3. Now a student of Class 2-D, Horikita met Ayanokouji and became acquainted with him back in their first year after they became seat neighbors.
Horikita is one of the most intelligent and academically inclined students in her class. Despite this, she was placed in the worst class of the grade and subsequently humiliated by her big brother for it. This led to Suzune’s single-minded pursuit to be promoted to the A Class.
3) Kei Karuizawa
At the start of the series, Kei Karuizawa came off as a spoiled and shallow girl who was all about her looks or status. She started off the story as the leader of the girls in Class 1-D and the girlfriend of Yosuke Hirata. However, the true depth of her character and background was revealed later.
Having suffered merciless bullying in middle school, Kei developed PTSD and an attitude to survive no matter what. She projects herself as someone with a large personality to hide her insecurities and fears. After Ayanokouji helped her, she became completely loyal to him.
4) Kikyou Kushida
The sweet and popular Kikyou Kushida isn’t who everyone thinks she is. Behind her lovely smiles and friendly personality lies someone shrewd and twisted. Kushida is currently one of the students of Class 2-D and is considered to be the class’ idol and most trusted student.
In reality, Kushida is a two-faced person with temper issues. She frequently throws tantrums whenever she doesn’t get her way and considers anyone who doesn’t do what she wants her enemy, though she keeps her true personality well hidden. Kushida has a particular hatred for Horikita.
5) Honami Ichinose
Classroom Of The Elite has plenty of dark and twisted characters which is why Honami Ichinose feels like a breath of fresh air among them. Amid peers who’ll do anything to fulfill their selfish agenda, Ichinose is a friendly and kind-hearted girl who has a strong moral code and doesn’t support backhanded methods.
In their first year, she was the class representative of Class 1-B who occasionally competed with the students of Class 1-A. Currently, she’s a student of Class 2-C and is affiliated with the student council. She’s also considered one of the most beautiful girls in their grade.
6) Rokusuke Kouenji
The vain and shallow Rokusuke Kouenji is another character to look out for in Classroom Of The Elite Season 3. Despite coming from an affluent family known for producing scholars, Kouenji was placed in Class 1-D at Advanced Nurturing High School because of his horrible personality.
Kouenji is very egotistical and has a habit of looking down on others. He can be quite rude and sarcastic, giving people odd nicknames based on his first impression of them. Kouenji sees himself as someone more capable than he already is and isn’t above using his family’s wealth to buy points.
7) Manabu Horikita
Manabu Horikita is the elder brother of Suzune and a student of Class 3-A. He used to be the student council president before the position was succeeded by Nagumo. Dedicated, capable, and intelligent, he excels in academics and is one of the best students in the school.
Manabu is a very serious person and is somewhat arrogant. He felt humiliated when his younger sister was placed in the D Class, the lowest class, and even went as far as to be violent with her.
8) Miyabi Nagumo
The current student council president of Advanced Nurturing High School is Miyabi Nagumo, a student of Class 3-A. Cunning, twisted, and competitive, Nagumo’s way of ruling the school is vastly different from his predecessor.
Nagumo has a burning desire to compete with Manabu and treats him like a rival. He is also an unfair and selfish leader and has a habit of expelling anyone who doesn’t do things the way he wants.
9) Kakeru Ryuuen
After being the main antagonist in the last season, Kakeru Ryuuen is returning as a major character once more in Classroom Of The Elite Season 3. He’s currently a student of Class 2-B, having been promoted from his former class, 1-C.
Ryuuen is a horrible bully and delinquent and loves to cause trouble for others. After being beaten and shown his place by Ayanokouji in the last season, he’s still licking his wounds and planning for more trouble.
10) Arisu Sakayanagi
One of the most beloved heroines of Classroom Of The Elite is Arisu Sakayanagi, the former class representative of Class 1-A and the current one of Class 2-A. She’s a very intelligent girl with a laidback attitude and notably petite stature. Her lack of growth is due to a congenital heart disease she suffers from. This also causes her to walk with a cane.
It is later revealed in the story that Arisu has met Ayanokouji sometime in the past. A flashback reveals that while on a visit to the White Room with her father, President Sakayanagi, she saw a boy whose talent far surpassed those around him, and that boy was Ayanokouji.
These are the major characters to look out for in Classroom Of The Elite Season 3. The psychological thriller anime is currently airing on Crunchyroll, with each new episode being released every Wednesday. Check it out and for more anime/manga content, visit Otakus’ Notes.
