Now that chapter 13 is here, Earthchild chapter 14 spoilers are on their way to tell us more. The previous chapter showcased Shinkai’s amazing storytelling yet again.
With every new chapter, we see more and more emotions narrated beautifully throughout the panels. The previous chapter utilized the built-up of its predecessor and didn’t disappoint. Therefore, to sum it up, let’s look at what we know so far.
Following the cliffhanger, the previous chapter showed us what was inside Kareri’s room that she wanted to hide from her parents. It turned out to be locked in a wooden chest. Reisuke, of course, knew the password since he could communicate with Kareri.
The box preserved all the items as a memento that Kareri did for her parents. From paper cranes, dried flowers, and awards to chore vouchers, it had everything that Kareri ever shared with her parents. Everyone in the room gets emotional as they realize just how much Kareri loved her parents.
Kareri also confirms the reason why she wanted to hide these things from her parents. It was because she only felt genuinely praised by her parents and Reisuke; any other compliments from other people seemed fake to her.
Moving on, Reisuke begins to question himself if he should really tell them about Kareri. As he sees them hurting and crying in front of his eyes, he feels that he cannot put them through the same agony again. He cannot overrule their previous decision to forget about everything related to Earthchild.
Therefore, he only blurts out that Kareri is still alive and begs them not to ask more questions. However, her parents realize that pieces of their memories are missing and their current memories about Kareri keep getting blurry day by day.
As a result, they beg him to tell them everything, and there we have Katagiri with his team reviving their memories.
Amidst all this, Mamoru has been observing everything that’s been going on, and to a positive surprise, he realizes that “that stone” is his mother. It is highlighted really well that seeing how Kareri’s parents are showing their love and sadness in Kareri’s photo of her current state, Mamoru could understand it’s his mother.
Earthchild chapter 14 Spoilers
Chapter 14 spoilers and raw scans haven’t begun to circulate yet. As soon as they do, we will update this article. Therefore, stay tuned to this article so that you don’t miss out on the update.
Meanwhile, let’s discuss some fans’ theories and future predictions.
Now that Reisuke’s plan has succeeded, we are likely to see them heading back to WastE and continuing their main goal.
The way Reisuke’s plan to teach Mamoru to recognize her mother worked out was indeed touching. More so because we were curious just how Mamoru could learn to recognize his mother from his grandparents. Additionally, it is safe to conclude that Mamoru indeed has a sharp brain since he is an Earthchild.
Although, we don’t know much about his powers. The series has hinted in the previous chapters Mamoru can understand what’s going on in his surroundings and think accordingly.
Nevertheless, the plot is likely to focus on Reisuke’s current plan to rescue Kareri. Meaning that we are about to see them back in space again. Although, this is just one of the hurdles they cleared. The plan still has more risky and critical steps to take. So, we won’t be seeing Kareri back in the flesh anytime soon.
