If you are binge-watching One Piece Anime, you can skip the fillers and watch the major plot episodes. But, if you can manage some extra time we will suggest you watch the listed filler episode below if you are interested in watching some good side stories, solo-stories, etc.
1. Post Alabasta Arc Episodes 131 to 135 –
This set includes five standalone filler episodes that zoom in on the Straw Hats’ goals and pasts. Everyone gets attention except Luffy and Robin, with the focus landing on Chopper, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Zoro. You see Chopper remembering his first patient, Nami starting her world map, and Zoro heading off on one of his signature wandering trips. It is a nice character breather after the intensity of Alabasta and adds welcome depth.

2. G 8 Arc Episodes 196 to 206 –
Picking up right after Skypiea, the crew crash lands inside a heavily guarded Marine base. The Going Merry is stuck, Marines are everywhere, and the Straw Hats have to infiltrate, blend in, and slip out without getting caught. Many fans call this the best filler run in the series. It is a tight, self contained adventure that is absolutely worth watching.
3. Little East Blue Arc Episodes 426 to 429 –
This anime only mini arc serves as a prequel to One Piece Film Strong World. It opens twenty years earlier, when Golden Shiki escapes Impel Down by cutting off his leg. The episodes give viewers an early taste of Shiki, a pirate who in his prime stood toe to toe with legends like Roger and Whitebeard.
4. Luffy Ace Sabo Flashback Episodes 497 to 499 –
These episodes explore the childhood bond among Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. The arc delivers the emotional groundwork for their brotherhood, why Sabo matters, and what drives Luffy. It also sets up the impact of Luffy seeing Sabo in Dressrosa. If you enjoy their dynamic and want to watch the trio get into all kinds of trouble, this is a must.
5. Save Zunesha The Straw Hats Rescue Operation Episode 775 –
This anime original episode adds heart to Zunesha, the giant elephant wounded after the events of Zou. It ties into the lore of the Ancient Kingdom while the crew works to treat Zunesha so the colossus does not collapse. Even as an anime original, it is worth your time.
6. Romance Dawn Special Episode 907 –
A special adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s original prototype for One Piece, this episode offers a playful alternate take on how Luffy’s journey could have begun. It is a charming what if for long time fans. If you have ever wondered how things might look with Garp as a pirate or how Luffy’s origin could differ, cue this one up.
7. Uta’s Past Arc Episodes 1029 to 1030 –
Created to support One Piece Film Red, these two episodes fill in Uta’s history and her connection to Luffy. They are considered partial canon and carry a strong emotional core, which makes them well worth watching.
8. Time to Depart Wano Country and the Straw Hats Episode 1084 –
After years of buildup, this farewell episode lets the Straw Hats say goodbye to their allies before leaving Wano. It delivers major developments for Luffy, the crew, and the wider world. Do not skip it. The story of Wano gets the warm conclusion it deserves, and you get one last visit with your favorite Wano characters before the next voyage begins.
