Top 14 Strongest Dungeons In Solo Leveling Ranked, 2024

Dungeons have always been a fascinating spectacle to witness in the world of solo leveling. They can be referred to as the habitats of awful creatures living in chaos.

These dungeons are connected to the outer world through the gates. The hunters are also seen using these gates to enter a dungeon. However, dungeons in themselves have their difficulty levels; based on this, they are ranked from E-Rank Dungeon to S-Rank Dungeon. This article will address the dungeons and rank them according to their difficulty levels.

Although this battle does not take place inside of a dungeon, instead it was the emergence of the Stone Golem from an unnamed D-Rank Dungeon. Although a few low-rank hunters were dispatched to handle the situation, they were barely able to keep the fight going, as they were almost D and E-ranks.

Miraculously, it happened at the same time as Jinwoo cleared the Instant Dungeon. As the hunters were not able to fight against the giant golem, Jin-Woo decided to help them, but covertly. He threw a sword at the golem, which acted as an opening.

13) Hapjeong Subway Station

It is an instant dungeon that was opened by Jin-Woo through the Dungeon Key that he acquired from the Random Box. The dungeon was the residence of powerful monsters such as the Steel-Fanged Lycan, Razor-Clawed Briga, and Black-Shadow Razan.

The boss of the dungeon was Swamp Ruler’s Blue Poison-Fangs Rasaka, who also gave a tough fight to Jin-Woo. Regarding the number of abilities Jin-Woo was able to pull off at that time, he was easily overpowered by the enormous snake. Subsequently, Jin-Woo defeats the monster and claims his rewards.

12) Insects Dungeon

It is the very first dungeon; Jin-Woo killed a real person. The dungeon was filled with spiders, and the boss of the dungeon was the gigantic Giant Arachnid Buryura. It appeared to be a massive spider with a grey covering on its belly. The monster was covered with exoskeleton armor.

However, during that period, it was a tough fight for Jin-Woo. But he managed to kill that spider successfully. Just after this, the raiding party, which was led by Hwang Dong-Suk, appears and reveals their true intention of betraying Jin-Woo and Yoo Jin-Ho by leaving them behind.

The system created the Job Change Quest Dungeon, particularly for Jin-Woo, after he reached a certain level. The inside of the dungeon was reminiscent of medieval castles. The dungeon was filled with knights, archers, assassins, and magicians. Jin-Woo was almost dead while completing this mission, but he survived.

After successfully clearing this dungeon, he was rewarded with a new skill, Shadow Extraction. This is also the place where Jin-Woo fought the Blood-Red Commander Igris, and by the end of his mission, he had extracted the shadow of Igris.

A few days past the Jeju Island events, a B-Rank Gate spawned in the middle of a road in Seoul. The chief of the Korean Hunter Association, Go Gun-Hee, assigned Jin-Woo to clear this dungeon.

The dungeon inside of this gate appeared to be the same as the earlier Red Gate dungeon. However, Jin-Woo cleared the dungeon all by himself effortlessly. Jin-Woo was overpowered by leveling up, and such a gate was not a big task for him. He only spent a few hours inside the gate and successfully returned to the human world.

9) Red Gate Dungeon

The Red Gate Dungeon is considered a B-Rank Dungeon. Despite its rank, the dungeon itself was a reflection of the Arctic region. It was snowing all over the place, and one could easily become a victim of frostbite or even a meal of the polar bears.

Notably, the time spent within that dungeon seemed to work very well; a day spent in that dungeon is only equivalent to an hour outside.

Despite the natural hurdles, this place was also a house for the snow elves, ready to hunt down the hunters. However, Jin-Woo successfully overcomes this situation and defeats the monster boss.

8) Ahjin Guild’s 1st A-Rank Gate

This is the first A-Rank gate that the Ahjin Guild enters. The dungeon was the habitat of powerful humanoid monsters. However, the creatures were considerably of an A-rank monster, strong enough to contend with A-rank Hunters.

This race of these half-humanoid and half-snake-like creatures is known as the Nagas. They usually possess a body about 2–3 times larger than an average human being. These creatures are also seen to have shiny blue skin, shapely fangs, eyes that are red, and fins.

Usually, the A-Rank Dungeons are almost raided by the guilds that have few of the S-Rank Hunters. The Busan Dungeon was considered to be a tough one, and that is why the Knights Guild was not provided with the clearance to attempt such a dungeon.

Additionally, they lack an S-Rank Hunter in their guild, as it can turn the outcomes into a huge casualty. As a result, the association was hesitant to allow them to enter.

However, Jin-Woo decides to help them, but soon he has to leave, so he leaves his top shadow soldier, Beru, to ensure the guild’s safety and fight the boss.

6) Hunter Guild Dungeon

It was the first A-Rank Dungeon that Jin-Woo cleared himself on his own. The dungeon was filled with orcs that even surpassed the A-Rank Hunters. The A-Rank Hunters barely managed to hold their ground.

However, the raid leader decides to go back and inform the others, but surprisingly, the gate is closed. Then they, along with JinWoo, discover the boss, who was known as Kargalgan. At first, he played with the hunters, but soon, Jin-Woo piqued his attention. After a fierce battle between these two, Jin-Woo transforms him into one of his shadows.

5) Demon Castle

It was an instant dungeon of an S-rank that the architect created. The appearance of this dungeon seemed to be a portrayal of Seoul, which was filled with ruined buildings that were caught on fire. Sung Jin-Wo, all by himself, cleared this dungeon.

Notably, it harbored four bosses where, on the very first floor, Jin-Woo confronted Cerberus on the 50th floor, Vulcan on the 75th floor, Metus, and lastly, Baran on the 100th floor. Interestingly, JinWoo overwhelmingly defeats all of these bosses, gains experience, and unlocks new skills.

We were introduced to this dungeon at the beginning of the series. Initially, it seemed to be just a D-Rank Dungeon, and after the raid party cleared the dungeon, they encountered another dungeon within the same.

Unfortunately, the inside of this dungeon was the place where the operations of the architect took place. Within this dungeon, they encounter humongous sculptures, some guarding the gates and the lord itself, which is also known as the Statue of God.

Eventually, after many casualties, Jin-Woo was able to withstand the riddles, and the system chose him as its player.

After the fourth raid on Jeju Island, Japan lost seven of its S-Rank Hunters, including Goto Ryuji. Japan was left defenseless with such a loss. In addition to this, out of nowhere, an S-Rank Gate spawned in Tokyo after a few months.

The nation was not able to meet the power required to mitigate this level of threat. Japan had to ask for aid internationally.

Yuri Orloff, a Russian hunter, agreed to help but ended up causing a dungeon break. The monsters fled from the dungeon and attacked the hunter. In the end, Jin-Woo arrives after a few days and kills the boss, Legia.

This dungeon appeared after the S-Rank Hunters entered through an S-Rank Gate on Jeju Island. However, the same dungeon four years ago underwent a dungeon break, and as a consequence of this event, lots of people lost their lives.

Later, the strongest Japanese guild, the Draw Sword Guild, approached the Korean Hunter Association. Both parties agreed to work together and overcome the rising situation.

The plan seemed to work initially, but soon the tables were turned. If only Jin-Woo had not killed the Ant King, the whole group would have been slaughtered.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, the portrayal of the dungeons in the series not only creates a whole different subplot, complementing the main plot but the hunters are deployed to explore dungeons where vicious monsters reside. However, the ranking system in the realm of Solo Leveling decides which rank of hunters will be the ones to enter those dungeons.
