Akira Tendou’s Bucket List: Introduction
At the end of Chapter 2, Akira understood that he was now a free man. In this zombie-infested world, he can do anything he wants. So, he decides to create a bucket list, to remind himself of the things he wants to do.
Later in the series, even Kenichirou, Shizuka, Takeru, and Izuna start writing their wishes on this list. With all of the combined things they wanted to do, the list has now reached 94 things.
However, not all of these 94 things have been completed. There are still many things, which the characters have yet to achieve. With this, we can also be sure, that the series won’t end anytime soon, even if the bucket list has reached 94.

Why Is Akira Tendou & His Friends Making A Bucket List?
Akira Tendou understood that he wanted to be free and created this bucket list. Rather than sulking, he decides that he wanted to turn a new page in his life, by doing everything he wanted to do since he was a child.
The list first started with Akira, but it also spread to the rest of the main cast soon enough. This is a way of showing, that they trust each other very much. It was thanks to Akira, that he was able to change Kenichirou, Shizuka, and Takeru.
Due to this, they were also able to realize their childhood dreams. For example, Shizuka is reminded of her childhood dream of becoming a doctor and pens it down on the bucket list.
So, the reason for all of them to do this was simple enough. They just wanted to note down everything they wanted to do, while they were alive. This is how the whole bucket list came into existence.
