1) The Legend of Vox Machina – Season 1
This animated series is based on the web series Critical Role which is the first campaign of Dungeons & Dragons. The series has two seasons, the first of which is one of the new cartoons on Amazon Prime Video.
The story follows eight heroes who form an unlikely band called Vox Machina to save the Exandria realm from dark forces. This adventure series is a must for everyone who loves Dungeons & Dragons.
2) Gulliver Returns
This Ukrainian animated movie tells the story of the adventurer Gulliver who is invited once again to the strange land of Lilliput which he saved from the Blefuscu nation in the past.
But this time when he comes to Lilliput, the citizens are disappointed to find the legendary Gulliver to be of their own size instead of a giant.
The King of Lilliput who’d hoped that the giant Gulliver would protect them from the upcoming attacks from Blefuscu is very disappointed, and orders Gulliver to be executed. The adventurer now must use his charms and talent to stop his execution and help Lilliput.
3) Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank
One of the best new cartoons on Amazon Prime Video has to be the 2022 animated film, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.
The movie is set in an anthropomorphic world inspired by feudal Japan, following a town of cats who are currently under the threat of an evil villain who wants them to abandon their village.
The villain, Ika Chu, appoints Hank, an imprisoned dog and the literal underdog, to be the samurai in-charge of protecting the cat village. Though Hank receives overwhelmingly bad reception from the cats at first, he’s determined to fulfill his duty.
4) The Addams Family 2
Everyone’s favorite weirdos are back in the new 2021 animated film, The Addams Family 2. The Addams family is all set to meet strange people, no stranger than them, of course, and have all sorts of adventures.
This time they will be going on a roadtrip with their new wacky acquaintance to strengthen the bond between their family.
Remember, they’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, and oh-so entertaining.
5) Hotel Transylvania: Transformania
Get ready to enter into the monster world once more with Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Like each time, many things are cooking inside Dracula’s beloved hotel, this time in the form of the new machine invented by Van Helsing.
When Dracula and Jonathan inadvertently find themselves in the middle of chaos, they’re hit with the ray from the machine, and turned into human and monster respectively.
Now the father-in-law and son-in-law must venture into the deep jungles of Amazon in an effort to find a cure. Can they survive as the opposite species in the middle of the jungle?
6) The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Everyone was super excited for their favorite Nintendo game to be adapted into the high-anticipated 2023 animated movie. The film follows Mario and Luigi, the plumber brothers, get transported to a new magical world while working on an underground water mainline.
Unfortunately, the brothers are separated in the process, but new adventures are waiting for them both.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is one of the new cartoons on Amazon Prime Video, but it isn’t available under subscription. Instead, you’d have to rent it from the Amazon Prime Video store.
7) The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run
The 2020 animated movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, is another of the new cartoons on Amazon Prime Video. Voiced by a star-studded cast, the movie follows SpongeBob whose pet snail Gary suddenly goes missing.
While looking for Gary with his friend, Patrick, SpongeBob learns that Gary is imprisoned by the King Poseidon of the Lost City of Atlantic City.
Thus begins the adventure of SpongeBob and his friends at Bikini Bottom as they try to rescue Gary. The movie is available for rent on the Amazon Prime Video store.
8) Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen Part One
The first part of the 2023 two-part animated film, Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, was released this year in April and is available for rent on Amazon Prime Video store.
The movie follows the Justice League members as they are transported to the world of the Remnant, and find themselves turning into their teenage selves.
The second part of the series is set to be released in October this year.
9) Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
The well-acclaimed 2022 animated film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, revolves around the titular Puss in Boots, the legendary hero, who finds out that he’s spent eight of his nine lives on his various grand adventures.
To restore his spent lives, he sets out on his final epic journey as he looks for the fabled Shooting Star that can give him back the lives he’s lost.
The voice cast of the movie is full of stellar celebrities, including Florence Pugh, Olivia Coleman, Salma Hayek, and Antonio Banderas in the role of Puss. It is available for rent on Amazon Prime Video store.
10) Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind
This is the second entry of the new cartoons on Amazon Prime Video that is based on a video game franchise.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind centers around Kenshi, the undisciplined fighter, who wants to train under the legendary retired fighter Kuai Liang in the face of the threat Earthrealm faces when Kano and the Black Dragon mercenaries are on their way to conquer it.
This 2022 animated movie is available for rent on Amazon Prime Video store.
11) Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse
When Lex Luthor locks the major superheroes of Earth in the Phantom Zone, the Teen Titans and the Super Hero Girls have to join forces to defeat the Legion of Doom, and free the superheroes. But things might not be so easy for the young heroes to cooperate with each other.
