Who can beat Saitama? 9 Characters with Logic Reasons

What happens when an unstoppable force meets the immovable object? Well, when Saitama clashes with anyone strong enough, the result is the same.

Several websites have previously discussed various characters like Luffy, Naruto, Light Yagami, etc., who are supposedly thought to be good enough to stand against Saitama. But is this really the case?

Saitama has surpassed his limiter, which means he is no longer bound by human weaknesses.

This was shown in the battle against Boros, where he used Energy Projection which melted the ship, but it didn’t even scratch Saitama’s skin. Even with Genos’ incineration of mosquitoes, only Saitama’s clothes were burnt.

It means he is durable to various extraordinary techniques achieved by the many anime characters like Law’s Devil Fruit or time and space controlling ability and all.

So here, we will discuss characters with God-level attributes that can genuinely takedown Saitama. Now, without wasting any more time, let’s get into it.

Who can beat Saitama? 9 Characters with Logic Reasons-

  • 9) Saiki K –Saiki K

Powers and Abilities- Psychic Powers, Apport, Curse, Astral Projection.

Saiki K has too many abilities, and he can use any of them to overpower Saitama. Many fans on Quora and Reddit have already voted that Saiki K’s capabilities make him like a god anime character.

He is an esper who can literally do anything, Saiki K can use his Psychic powers to block out all of Saitama’s attacks. And even if he couldn’t block them, he will directly teleport himself to some other place.

Also, he has the advantage of long-range fights. With his Astral Projection and Curse power, if he chooses to utilize it to its maximum potential, Saiki K can throw around powerful spells, bend, control, and levitate objects.

His powers are not limited to those of Tatsumaki, but goes further beyond, so he stands a decent chance to beat Saitama.

  • 8) Goku Ultra Instinct –

Goku Ultra Instinct

Powers and Abilities– Durability, Indomitable will, Godly reflexes and strength, Energy Projection (Kamehameha), Teleportation

Goku, in his ultra instinct form, will defeat Saitama. There are many contradictions between fans, but Goku, in his Ultra Instinct form, surpasses even a god.

Therefore, in my opinion, Goku is very powerful and experienced than Saitama.

Goku vs. Saitama fight has literally been one of the longest ongoing debates in the anime community.

Can Goku defeat Saitama? Well, yes, he can.

Let’s look at the facts. His new Ultra Instinct form literally allows him to fight without thinking, relying on his muscle memory, so even Gods can’t land a blow on him.

Add his constant training and countless real-life battle experience; you have a veteran who can very well now beat Saitama to the ground.

  • 7) Sagittarius Seiya –Sagittarius Saiya

Powers and Abilities- Pegasus Ryūsei Ken, Atomic Thunderbolt, Cosmic Star Arrow

Sagittarius Seiya can also defeat Saitama with his cosmic powers. Sagittarius Seiya is one of the most powerful characters of Saint Seya Omega.

Like Goku, he also fights in the multiverse but on a much larger scale. Even fans have voted that Sagittarius Seiya is more powerful than Goku in all terms.

The constant conflicts against various deities portray this character as one of the strongest in all universes. The one who is overpowering Goku in all terms has the chance to beat Saitama.

  • 6) The Anti-Spiral –

Powers and Abilities- Cosic construction, Battle intelligence, indestructibility.

The Anti-Spiral is one of the strongest beings in the entire universe and is both the physical as well as the psychological manifestation of the anti-spiral consciousness.

Being one of the most powerful consciousness, they are just of opposite of their arch-nemesis and can easily defeat Saitama since they too have powers of various universes enlaced within them.

  • 5) Sailor Cosmos –Sailor Cosmos

Powers and Abilities- Lamba Power, Time Travel, Supportive Powers, Time Manipulation

Sailor Cosmos can easily overpower Saitama. She is from the distant future and even challenges Sailor Chaos for one-on-one fights.

Her prominent ability is time manipulation and time travel. Therefore, she can travel back in time when Saitama was an average human.

Her time abilities are the strongest in the entire galaxies; hence, in my opinion, she can easily change the history of a planet (Earth) and can beat Saitama.

  • 4) Truth (Fullmetal Alchemist) –Truth

Powers and Abilities- Transmutation, transformation, Non-solidification

Truth from FMA can also beat Saitama in one-on-one.

Surprise, Surprise. Well, not really. This character is in charge of the Law of Equivalent Exchange in the Fullmetal Alchemist world. Any violation of the rules leads to severe penalties and losses.

This character might very well be the reason why Saitama will be defeated since he primarily broke the Law of Equivalent Exchange by surpassing his limiter at the exchange of just his hair.

Since Truth is so particular about the law, it will be interesting to see what kind of punishment he has outlined for Saitama.

  • 3) Kama Tenchi –Kama Tenchi

Powers and Abilities-  Reality Warping, Light Manipulation, True Flight, Portal Creation. Time Tavel, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Omniscience

Finally, let’s just pit Saitama against a literal God and check the outcome. Kama Tenchi is the literal superior being of the Omniversal Battlefield universe, and for a good reason.

His power includes accurate abstraction, which means he can dissociate anybody into anything and even into nothingness.

This is one God of a universe that most people can’t dream of defeating and finally an omnipotent being that can give Saitama a run for his money. In short, Kama Tenchi can beat Saitama.

  • 2) The Creators (Umineko no Naku Koro ni) –

Powers and Abilities- Reality Warping, Magic, Omniscience, Omnipresence, Beyond-Dimensional Existence

The Creators can easily defeat Saitama.

Well, here comes another literal God to join the party. “Omniscient and omnipotent, they create everything.” Beings that completely lost all restrictions is how Lambdadelta describes these characters.

Well, how do you defeat the most powerful man in human history? Make him fight a God. Since these entities have surpassed all forms of restriction themselves and are not bound by the laws of nature, how exactly can Saitama fight against them?

They could literally stop his attacks with just a thought. Mindbending? Just wait for the battle, then.

  • 1) Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann –Super Tengen Yoppa Gurren Lagann

Powers and Abilities- Super Tengen Toppa Giga Drill Break, Infinite Multiverse Power, Super Speed

Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann can beat Saiatam easily.

What’s special about this character, right? I mean, literally, every other superhero has super speed. Well, this one’s superspeed is 10 trillion light-years, so even Saitama is a bit slower to him.

The literal translation of his name stands as ‘Super Heaven-Piercing Gurren Lagann,’ which should ideally send the message to his opponents to run away.

He contains within himself the power of multiple universes, can literally do anything, and is so overpowered that Saitama better watches out if he wishes to even stand in this fight.

So, there it is, the actual list of all the characters that can defeat Saitama in battle in no particular order.

All of these have literally been achieved, and some even surpassed what is considered to be God-level powers, so it’ll be interesting to see how Saitama fares against them if a crossover was it happen. Fans can watch One Punch Man officially on Netflix or Hulu.
