Anime is officially available on Netflix and many other online streaming sites, that too in a large number. Although anime has not yet created the craze in India as in other countries, the hype is sure increasing lately. Indians’ votes and voices facilitated the unprecedented release of the “Weathering with you” movie in Indian theatres.
On that note, Netflix had started featuring Hindi dub for the anime, those under its own production, since last year. Lately, it has also featured the old, and popular Japanese animated movies in their official Hindi dubbed. Other than that, famous anime shows like Naruto, One Piece, and Dragon Ball were dubbed in Hindi on Indian Television, but they are not available on online streaming sites legally.
Here we are presenting to you all the Hindi Dubbed and Subbed anime shows and movies available on Netflix. List to be binged out with legit real entertainment, that too for a wide range of age types in India. We have also included a little plot insight and the episode count with the titles. - Blood of Zeus (October 27, 2020)-

Set in the world of Greek mythology, the series revolves around Heron, the demigod son of Zeus, trying to save Olympus and Earth. Though Heron is a fake character, the existence of such demigods born is implied to be common in the original myths. The anime series claims in its prologue to be one of the tales ‘lost to history’ rather than passed down with our current canon of Greek myths.

- The Dragon Prince (September 14, 2018)-

The series follows the story of the prince half-brothers Callum and Ezran and the elf Rayla, who, as they take care of the infant dragon prince Azymondias, must end the thousand-year-old conflict between the human kingdoms and the magical creatures of the land of Xadia. The anime series focuses mainly on wars, strategy, allies, and massacre, portraying the real essence of pre-medieval Europe.

- Castle In The Sky ( August 2, 1986)-

It follows the adventures of a young boy and girl in the late 19th century attempting to keep a magic crystal from a group of military agents while searching for a legendary floating castle. The anime movie is produced by none other than Studio Ghibli. One of their finest and early works beautifully swims the curiosity of young children in the skies, in search of an unknown castle.

In the year 2045, after an economic disaster known as the Simultaneous Global Default, which destroyed the value of all forms of paper and electronic currency, the “Big 4” nations of the world are in a “Sustainable War” to keep the economy going. The anime show portrays the group “GHOST,” using their cybernetic enhancements and battle experience to earn a living while defusing hot-spots across the globe.

- Only Yesterday (July 20, 1991)-

In 1982, Taeko Okajima is 27 years old, unmarried, has lived her whole life in Tokyo. She returns to her village as a vacation, only to find more nagging about marriage and life ambitions. The anime movie by Studio Ghibli shows Takeo reminiscing about her childhood, puberty, and dreams as she watches her cousin’s daughter in the present. Some bad, some good, but the memories shape her firmly for life ahead.

- The Wind Rises (July 20, 2013)-

In 1918, a young Jiro Horikoshi longs to become a pilot, but his nearsightedness prevents it. He reads about the famous Italian aircraft designer Giovanni Battista Caproni and dreams about him that night. There, Caproni tells him that he has never flown a plane in his life and that building plane is better than flying them. The anime movie by Studio Ghibli portrays Horikoshi following his newfound ambition.

- Ocean Waves (May 5, 1993)-

The film is set in the city of Kochi, on the Japanese island of Shikoku. It concerns a love triangle that develops between two good friends and a new girl who transfers to their high school from Tokyo. The anime movie produced by Studio Ghibli overturns the dreams, ambitions, love-interests, and reality in the most unsettling way possible to give the young friends a taste of teenage love. There is a sequel novel too.

- Altered Carbon: Resleeved (February 2, 2018)-

The series takes place over 360 years in the future, with most episodes the first season set in the year 2384 in a futuristic metropolis known as Bay City. In the future, a person’s memories and consciousness are recorded onto a disk-shaped device called a cortical stack, which is implanted in the vertebrae at the back of the neck. The anime series had a movie planned but got canceled later.

- Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution (July 12, 2019)-

Scientist Dr. Fuji is hired by Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket, to utilize his expertise in cloning in order to create a living weapon based on an eyelash from legendary Pokémon Mew. Soon after the weapon is created, it gains sentience and is named Mewtwo. Several years later, Mewtwo has fully awakened from a long slumber in a laboratory on New Island and learns of his origin as Mew’s clone from Dr. Fuji.

- Kiki’s Delivery Service (July 29, 1989)-

As is traditional for trainee witches, thirteen-year-old Kiki leaves home with her black cat named Jiji, with whom she talks. She flies on her broomstick to the port city of Koriko. While searching for somewhere to live, Kiki is pursued by Tombo, a geeky boy obsessed with aviation who admires her flying ability. In this anime movie by Studio Ghibli, the youngsters learn the hard truth of reality and coping with it.

- Whisper of the Heart (July 15, 1995)-

Shizuku Tsukishima is a 14-year-old student at Mukaihara Junior High School, where she is best friends with Yūko Harada. Living in Tokyo with her parents. During an ordinary evening, she looks through the checkout cards in her library books. She discovers they were all checked out previously by someone named Seiji Amasawa. It tells the story of a professor’s two young daughters, Satsuki and Mei, and their interactions with friendly wood spirits in post-war rural Japan. - Princess Mononoke (July 12, 1997)-

In Muromachi Japan, an Emishi village is attacked by a demon. The anime movie by Studi Ghibli of the last Emishi prince, Ashitaka, killing it before it reaches the village, but its corruption curses his right arm. The curse gives him superhuman strength but will eventually spread through his body and kill him. The villagers discover that the demon was a boar god, Nago, corrupted by an iron ball lodged in his body.

- Howl’s Moving Castle (November 20, 2004)-

Sophie, a young milliner, encounters a wizard named Howl on her way to visit her sister Lettie. Upon returning home, she meets the Witch of the Waste, who transforms her into a ninety-year-old woman. Seeking to break the curse, Sophie leaves home and sets off through the countryside. She meets a living scarecrow, whom she calls “Turnip Head.” Another movie by Studio Ghibli.

Anna is an introverted 12-year-old girl with low self-esteem living in Sapporo with foster parents. One day, she suffers an asthma attack at school.
