Horikoshi Kohei’s magnum opus, Boku no Hero Academia or My Hero Academia has emerged as one of the defining shonen series in recent years.

Beginning its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, this superhero manga has been one of the most consistent titles since 2018 and has sold over 28 million copies worldwide.

Set in a world where most of the population has superpowers called Quirks, it follows the story of Midoriya Izuku, a Quirkless kid who dreams of becoming a Hero.

By a surprising turn of events, Midoriya is given the power of One For All and enrolls in the prestigious U.A. High School, taking one step forward in his journey of becoming the greatest Hero of all time.

In this universe where Heroes are the guardians of the citizens, Midoriya meets several people who have great potential and are quite strong.

This article will be listing the top 10 new generation Heroes who will be taking the mantle from the current Pro-Heroes to set their own milestones.

In this article, we will rank the Top 10 New Generation Heroes in My Hero Academia. They can either be from the U.A. school or the other schools. So, without any further delay, let’s begin the ranking.

  • 10) Yo Shindo [Hero Name: Grand]-

Yo Shindo (真堂揺, Shindo Yo) is a second-year student at Ketsubutsu Academy High School. His Quirk, Vibrate, gives him the ability to vibrate anything that he touches.

Having mastered control over his ability, Shindo can create fierce tremors by using his power on the ground, rendering it very effective against large groups to make them immobile.


  • 9) Hitoshi Shinsou [Hero Name: Unknown]-

Hitoshi Shinsou (心操人使, Shinso Hitoshi) is a student from class 1-C of U.A. High School’s General Department. His quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to command any person who verbally responds to him.

He receives training from Aizawa Shouta to hone his ability, which uses Artificial Voice Cords and a Capturing Weapon, which is similar to the Binding Cloth Aizawa himself uses.

Now he can also fight physically like Aizawa. He also played a major role in the fight between Class 1A and Class 1B.


  • 8) Fumikage Tokoyami [Hero Name: Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi]-

Fumikage Tokoyami (常闇踏陰, Tokoyami Fumikage) belongs to class 1-A of U.A. High School.

His Quirk, Dark Shadow, is used for both defensive and offensive tactics.

Considered to be one of the strongest students in their class, Tokoyami’s strategic mindset and calm demeanor make him an imposing figure among his classmates.


 

  • 7) Inasa Yaorashi [Hero Name: Gale Force]-

Inasa Yaorashi (夜嵐イナサ, Yoarashi Inasa) is a first-year student at Shiketsu High School.

His Quirk, Whirlwind, gives him the power to control and manipulate the air around him.

His precision lets him use it for both offensive and defensive purposes over large areas and his Hero suits can propel him in the air giving him greater mobility.


 

  • 6) Nejire Hado [Hero Name: Nejire-chan]-

Nejire Hado (波動ねじれ, Hadō Nejire), a third-year student, is one of the Big 3 at U.A. High School.

Her Quirk, Wave Motion, uses her own stamina to create fierce spiral shockwaves along with enhanced mobility in the air.

Her experience and intellect allow her to effectively use her powers in fights against bigger and stronger opponents.


  • 5) Tamaki Amajiki [Hero Name: Suneater]-

Tamaki Amajiki (天喰環, Amajiki Tamaki) is a third-year at U.A. High School and part of the Big 3.

His Quirk, Manifest, allows him to manifest the characteristics of whatever he has consumed, which are physically enhanced at the time of manifestation.

Superior technique, intelligence, and years of experience have allowed him to grow into one of the most powerful students despite his introversion and pessimism directed at his own abilities.


  • 4) Mirio Togata [Hero Name: Lemillion]-

Mirio Togata (通形ミリオ, Togata Mirio) is the last of the Big 3 at U.A. High School, and while he was rendered Quirkless in the fight against Overhaul, the recent Chapter 292 saw him come back in action.

His Quirk, Permeation, lets him become intangible and pass through matter. Even though this was an extremely difficult Quirk to master, under Nighteye’s supervision, Mirio learned to effectively use it to become extremely strong, only short of becoming a Pro-Hero.


  • 3) Todoroki Shoto [Hero Name: Shoto]-

Todoroki Shoto (轟焦凍, Todoroki Shōto) hails from class 1-A of U.A. High School.

His Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk gives him the ability to generate fire from the left side of his body and ice from the right side. While he tends to prefer using ice, he can wield both the elements simultaneously, thus creating deadly combinations.


  • 2) Katsuki Bakugou [Hero Name: Unknown]-

Katsuki Bakugo (爆豪勝己, Bakugō Katsuki) attends U.A. High School’s Class 1-A. Having the Quirk Explosion, Bakugou can secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from his hand’s palms, which he then ignites to create explosions.

One of his strongest suits is how he manipulates his Quirk to carry out various techniques, including navigating through the air at high speeds.

You might have wondered that why I’ve placed Shoto and Bakugou over Mirio. It’s because of the war against the Paranormal Liberation Front.

Both Shoto and Bakugou unveiled the exponential growth in their power and techniques. At the same time, Mirio has now become weaker after his fight against Overhaul.

  • 1) Izuku Midoriya [Hero Name: Deku]-

Izuku Midoriya (緑谷出久, Midoriya Izuku) is a part of U.A. High School’s Class 1-A. The protagonist of the story, Midoriya’s Quirk, One for All, gives him enhanced physical prowess and highly increased energy levels. He can control the output and can currently manifest a maximum of 45%.

Thanks to the One for All quirk, Deku currently can use the quirks of all seven previous users along with his own energy level.

This gives Deku a boost to overpower anyone; however, this form also puts too much strain on Deku’s body and mind. He ha snow become the strongest hero and the only one to defeat All for One.

These Heroes are the torch bearers to a brighter future and the ultimate advocates of justice.
