Born to a Jamaican mother and Irish father, Ella Mai is an English singer and songwriter who first blew after appearing in the British X Factor in 2014 as part of the trio Arize. She later signed with 10 Summer Records after American record producer Mustard found her on Social Media.

She released her first self-titled album in 2018, which contained hits like Trip and Boo’d Up. Both songs charted on the US Billboard Hot 100. Trip went on to win the Grammys for Best R&B Song.

Gabriella, professionally known as H.E.R., is an American R&B singer. She has received various accolades now, including five Grammies, an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe.

Initially appearing with her original name, she started with her brand name persona H.E.R (Having Everything Revealed) in 2016.

Gabriella’s songs are beautiful and are known for having soulful lyrics that resonate with a number of people. She has been creating music for quite a while. Her hard work and talent are finally paying off, and we have no doubt she will continue to grow.

Doechii won the hearts of everyone the moment she released Yucky Blucky Fruitcake in 2021. She may not have been in the industry, but she has proven how special she is even with her small discography.

After signing with Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records, Doechii released her second EP, She/Her/Black Bitch, in 2022. Her recent song What It Is (Block Boy) featuring Kodack Block has once again put her into the social media spotlight. Many have lauded her for her revival of the 2000s RnB flair and groovy rhythm.

An American R&B singer, Summer Walker, is another example of how your talent can shine through early. She released her mixtape Last Day of Summer in 2018, which spawned one of her first chart toppers.

Her debut album, “Over It,” charted at number two on the Billboard and also spawned the US top 20 single “Playing Games.”

Her sophomore studio album “Still Over It’ charted at number one on Billboard 200 in 2021 and broke the record for most album streams in a single day by a female artist on Apple Music.

Queen Megan hardly needs any introduction. Multiple Grammy-winning singer and rapper Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, stage name Megan Thee Stallon, first rose to prominence with her freestyle videos on social media. She signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018, and the rest is history.

Megan’s debut album, Good News, was released in 2020 and ended up appearing on several year-end best album lists.

Her “Savage” remix with Beyonce earned her first number one on Billboard, not just in the US but in several different countries. She also appeared with Doja Cat on Ariana Grande’s remix of 34+35.

Coi Leray is an American rapper and singer. She fell in love with music after getting inspiration from her father, rapper Benzino, and began posting on SoundCloud and other platforms.

She released her debut mixtape Everythingcoz in 2018. It didn’t take her even three full years to gain a place on the Billboard Hot 100. Her single No More Parties charted in the top 40s.

Coi has shown themes of self-love and empowerment in her debut album Trendsetter, which was released in 2022. Her single “Players” peaked in the top 10 of Billboard and went viral on social media.

Alyssa Michelle Stephens, stage name Latto, is an American singer and rapper. She first gained popularity with her persona as “Miss Mulatto” in the reality series, The Rap Game in 2016. Despite winning the show, she rejected the record deal that was offered to her.

She was able to gain a place on the Billboard right from the beginning, with her debut single Bitch from da Souf in 2019. Her mainstream breakthrough can be attributed to her lead single Big Energy from her album 777, which peaked at number three on Billboard.

Her recent song with Jungkook (of BTS), “Seven,” achieved her first number one on the US charts as well as the Billboard Global 200.

Nearly everyone in the present generation knows her name. Isis Naija Gaston, professionally known as Ice Spice, is an American singer and rapper.

Born to an African-American father and Dominican mother, she tasted her first dose of social media popularity with her song “Munch (Feelin’ U)” in 2022.

Of course, her collab with PinkPanthress in “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” made it so everyone knew her name. This song peaked at number 3 on the Billboard.

She also sang for the recent Barbie movie with Nicki Minaj in their rendition of Aqua’s Barbie World, which peaked at number two.

And at number one, we have a woman who is absolutely dominating the charts right now. An American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer, Dooja Cat first began her music journey on SoundCloud.

She gained massive popularity with her 2018 single “Mooo!”. After the song became an internet meme, she quickly released her second studio album the following year. “Say So” featuring Nicki Minaj was part of the same album.
