Yuki Tsukumo is a character that has been hyped since her first brief introduction in Aoi Todo’s memory in Jujutsu Kaisen. She becomes an even more interesting character in the Hidden Inventory Arc. But it’s only in the Culling Game Arc that she plays a major role in the story.
Despite being a very powerful and well-hyped character, Yuki doesn’t stay for long in the story. Her death comes shortly after she is properly introduced in the plot. For those who are curious about her death, here’s how Yuki Tsukumo died in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Who Is Yuki Tsukumo in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Yuki Tsukumo is one of the four Special Grade jujutsu sorcerers. However, she’s not affiliated with Jujutsu High, and doesn’t take any missions from the higher-ups. She spends most of her time abroad, and rarely comes to Japan. This is due to Yuki’s disagreement with the way things are run by the high brass.
In truth, Yuki is bothered by the distinction between curse users and non-curse users, and she strives to create a world where there are no curses anymore and people wouldn’t need jujutsu sorcerers to exorcize them.
She has been looking for her own answers to create such a world, and even had a conversation about him with Suguru Geto years back. However, the younger sorcerer took the wrong point from her ideology.
Yuki Tsukumo is also the mentor of Todo whom she met years back when the latter was an elementary school student. She taught him how to fight, and also influenced his infamous habit of asking what kind of woman his opponent likes.
Yuki Tsukumo vs. Kenjaku
During the Culling Game Arc, when Kenjaku invades Tokyo Jujutsu High to get to Tengen, Yuki, Choso and Tengen make a plan to defeat him. Yuki faced Kenjaku after the latter had fought Choso, and gave him a tough time with her cursed technique: Star Rage.Â
This technique allowed her to increase her body mass without affecting her speed. With Star Rage, her Shikigami, Garuda, became a cursed weapon, and an attack from her increased in so much potency that it could exorcize even Special Grade cursed spirits.
However, because of Tengen’s idea, she didn’t use her Domain Expansion against him, instead used a Simple Domain. This also led her to take direct attack from Kenjaku’s domain: Womb Profusion.
How Yuki Tsukumo Died in Jujutsu Kaisen?
After Kenjaku got his Antigravity back, he used gravity to crush Choso and Garuda to the ground. When Yuki attacked him, he caught her arm and aimed a miniature Uzumaki at her, blasting her with a powerful force.Â
Before she could recover from it, Kenjaku aimed another miniature Uzumaki, this time at Yuki’s stomach. The force of it speared through her, cutting her body into two halves. But even when she was bleeding out, Yuki made sure to grab Kenjaku.
She increased her body mass and density to an extreme, so much so that she became a blackhole that could suck everything into it, and capable of destroying everything around it.
Kenjaku could only survive it by using Kaori Itadori’s Antigravity. After the blackhole ceased to exist, Kenjaku commented that it was capable of destroying the whole world, and didn’t only because of Tengen’s barriers and Yuki’s willpower. Though Kenjaku survived that ordeal, Yuki could not, and died trying to kill Kenjaku.
Conclusion
Yuki Tsukumo’s death in Jujutsu Kaisen was noble yet unfortunate. She tried to take down Kenjaku till her last breath, and didn’t give up even when she was dying. However, it was saddening to see a powerful female character like her die. But even with her limited presence in the story, she certainly made a mark.
