In the previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Maki continued to fight Sukuna. It was also revealed that while the likes of Kashimo, Higuruma, and Yuta amused Sukuna, the one he was looking forward to fighting the most was Maki. The King of Curses was fascinated by Maki who abandoned every bit of cursed energy inside her to gain the peak physical condition.
For the first time in his existence, Sukuna was entrusted with the role of fighting out which is more worthy of cultivating: jujutsu or physical power. This was before he used Black Flash on her, taking her out of commission. Now, the only one left is the Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer, Atsuya Kusakabe.
Based on these events, we can make a few conjectures on what’s to come in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 254:
- Sukuna vs. Kusakabe will begin.Â
- Kusakabe will unleash his true power. In the last chapter, Mei Mei, Nanami, and even Gojo agreed that Kusakabe was the strongest Grade 1 sorcerer, meaning there’s a lot to be unveiled in this fight.
- Yuji and Choso can join the fight alongside Kusakabe. Sukuna may face a three vs. one battle.
- Maki is not dead, even though the Black Flash must’ve really injured her. She can join the fight too. If that’s the case, it’ll be interesting to see how Sukuna tackles four opponents.
