Top 15 Fastest JJK Characters According to Manga

It’s no secret that Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the biggest shounen titles of recent years. It has captivated fans with its world-building, characters, and tendency to go dark at times. There are plenty of characters in JJK who display amazing powers and abilities. But today, we’ll be talking about those who possess great speed. Here is the ranking of the top 15 fastest JJK characters, according to the manga.

Since we’ll be ranking characters based on how they currently are in the manga, there are going to be some spoilers. Proceed ahead only if you’re also caught up with the manga or don’t mind getting spoiled.

So, without further ado, here are the top 15 fastest JJK characters:

Top 15 Fastest JJK Characters

15) Kenjaku

Kenjaku

At the very bottom of this ranking, we have Kenjaku who plays a major antagonist in the series. Kenjaku is an ancient curse user capable of transferring his brain to dead bodies to keep living for centuries. He’s been alive for at least eight hundred years and currently possesses the body of Suguru Geto.

Despite Kenjaku being a crucial character, he has a fairly low number of fight scenes. But whenever he fights, he mainly relies on Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation which leaves him little opportunity to use his physical prowess.

However, during his fight against Yuki Tsukumo, Choso, and Tengen, we see that he’s actually pretty fast and deserves a spot on the list of the fastest JJK characters.

14) Aoi Todo

Aoi Todo

The self-proclaimed brother of Yuji Itadori is up next. Aoi Todo is a Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer and a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High. He’s also a pupil of Yuki and the strongest student in his school.

Todo is not only one of the strongest characters in JJK but also one of the fastest. His Cursed Technique, Boogie Woogie, is a simple yet incredibly useful ability; that, coupled with his keen sense of battle and master usage, make him a force to be reckoned with.

During the Goodwill Event, he’s easily able to keep up with Yuji, a physically gifted person, and shows the same level of speed during their fight against Hanami. Just being able to keep up with Yuji is enough to earn Todo a spot on this list, but he’s also done the same to Hanami and Mahito. Thus, he clearly deserves this spot.

13) Mahito

Mahito

If there is one character whom the fandom hates unanimously, it’s Mahito. The Special-Grade cursed spirit is responsible for the doom of many important and beloved characters like Kento Nanami and Nobara Kugisaki. He’s a younger cursed spirit who discovers his true potential through the story and acts as the personal antagonist of Yuji.

Cursed spirits already possess superhuman physical prowess but even among them, Mahito is a stand-out. During his multiple fights with Yuji and Nanami, he’s shown incredible speed and managed to catch them both off-guard. His fight against Yuji and Todo in Shibuya has him out-speeding both of them, which is why he sits at number 13.

12) Hajime Kashimo

Hajime Kashimo

When Kenjaku initiates the Culling Game, he incarnates many curse users from the past, and Hajime Kashimo is one of them. During his original time, he was a feared man who defeated everyone in his way and was known as the God of Lightning.

From the time he’s incarnated in the present time, Kashimo has demonstrated himself to be one of the strongest characters in the series. His Innate Cursed Technique, Mythical Beast Amber, is so powerful that it destroys his own body. This is why he relies solely on his electrified cursed energy and his physical abilities in battles.

During his fight against Kinji Hakari, Kashimo demonstrates both his mastery over physical combat and his superior speed, being able to match Hakari blow-to-blow.

11) Kinji Hakari

Kinji Hakari

A third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Kinji Hakari is one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers of his generation. He was suspended sometime before Yuji joined the school for clashing with the authorities. Though rough around the edges, he becomes a strong ally for our heroes.

Hakari is an interesting character and his fighting style and CT reflect that well. He’s strongly reliant on his physical abilities, being a master at hand-to-hand combat. His CT and Domain Expansion both only contribute to his luck and skills in physical combat.

Thanks to his fighting style, Hakari has to be very fast to get the better of powerful opponents. During his fight with Yuji and Kashimo, he shows this fact.

10) Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 protagonist Yuta Okkotsu is a much-beloved character and rightfully so. He’s one of the four Special Grade jujutsu sorcerers and is currently a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. After Satoru Gojo, he’s the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and right now, the strongest bet our heroes have against Sukuna.

Yuta is such a powerful character for a number of reasons; the strongest being Rika, the cursed spirit born out of his childhood friend. Aside from Rika, there are also his wildly useful CT: Copy, his unending reserve of cursed energy, and his almost superhuman physical prowess. He can easily match Yuji in physical combat and has shown multiple examples of great speed.

9) Yuji Itadori

Yuji Itadori

The protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen is Yuji Itadori and he’s undoubtedly one of the fastest JJK characters with the potential of being the fastest. He becomes a vessel for the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, at the beginning of the story and joins Tokyo Jujutsu High because of this.

From the very beginning, it has been established that Yuji possesses physical abilities far surpassing normal humans and even jujutsu sorcerers. He’s extremely strong and inhumanly fast. In the first chapter, he’s said to run at a speed that surpasses the world record, and throughout the story, many characters have expressed their surprise over exactly how fast Yuji is.

8) Naoya Zenin

Naoya Zenin

The Inherited CT of the Zenin clan automatically puts Naoya Zenin on this ranking of the fastest JJK characters. Naoya is the son of Naobito Zenin, the head of the clan, and a Special Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer. He also leads The Hei, the strongest team within their clan.

Naoya has the same CT as his father: Projection Sorcerery. This gives him the ability to move at a speed impossible for any human or average jujutsu sorcerer. But unlike his father who has years of experience and mastery over the technique, Naoya still has a ways to go. Besides, even with his CT and special speed, he cannot match up to Maki Zenin.

7) Mahoraga

Mahoraga

Megumi Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows Technique is one of the strongest CTs in Jujutsu Kaisen and the strongest Shikigami under this technique is Mahoraga. This humanoid Shikigami has been untamed for centuries with no user being able to defeat it until it fights and loses to Sukuna in Shibuya.

During its fight against Sukuna, Mahoraga proves why it’s considered to be the strongest Shikigami. It matches blow-by-blow with Sukuna in terms of strength, speed, and agility. However, what makes Mahoraga so dangerous and why it’s easily one of the fastest JJK characters is its ability to adapt to any phenomenon.

This means if one fights with Mahoraga at high speed for some time, the Shikigami will adapt to it and become just as fast, if not faster.

6) Naobito Zenin

Naobito Zenin

The head of the Zenin clan, Naobito Zenin is a Special Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer like his son. With his noble position, he’s expected to be one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers alive. However, that is not the case at all. But despite this, he is undoubtedly a powerful jujutsu sorcerer.

Naobito’s Inherited CT, Projection Sorcerery, allows him to break one second into twenty-four frames like how animation used to work in the past. He moves through these frames with such a speed that goes unseen by normal eyes and freezes anyone caught in this technique who cannot move at the same speed.

It’s pretty apparent why we count Naobito as one of the fastest JJK characters.

5) Jogo

Jogo

The cursed spirits who ally with Kenjaku are all very strong and Special Grades. But when it comes to speed, none of them can surpass Jogo, the cursed spirit born out of people’s fear of volcanic eruptions. He fights Gojo twice before fighting and being killed by Sukuna in Shibuya.

If we think about Jogo’s fights with Gojo, it becomes difficult to see how he can be one of the fastest characters in JJK. But in his last fight against the King of Curses, Jogo unleashes all his potential, showing great skills and speed that even Sukuna acknowledges him as strong. And if Sukuna acknowledges him, we have to do it too!

4) Maki Zenin

Maki Zenin

The disgrace of the Zenin Clan, Maki Zenin is the older twin sister of Mai and a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Born with very little cursed energy, she can’t even see curses without the aid of her cursed energy-infused glasses. Because of this, she’s been ostracized by her family members all her life until she leaves the family.

In exchange for Maki’s lack of cursed energy, she was born with extraordinary physical abilities. At the start of the story, she’s an expert in hand-to-hand combat and handling weapons, already being one of the fastest characters in JJK. But after the death of Mai, she receives a Heavenly Restriction and her physical abilities increase tenfold.

Currently, her powers and speed are comparable to Toji Fushiguro’s.

3) Toji Fushiguro

Toji Fushiguro

Jujutsu Kaisen has some very twisted yet utterly intriguing characters and one of the most special ones out of the bunch is Toji Fushiguro. Born as Toji Zenin, he was born with zero cursed energy and was abused and mistreated by his clan because of this. He later left the family and eventually became a contract killer, known as the Sorcerer Killer.

Toji is also the father of Megumi but his powers are more comparable to his cousin Maki than his son. Thanks to the Heavenly Restriction, he possessed superhuman physical abilities. A glaring example of his extraordinary speed is how he caught Gojo off-guard and nearly killed him during the latter’s youth and later, his quick disposal of Dagon, a Special Grade cursed spirit.

2) Ryomen Sukuna

Ryomen Sukuna

The primary antagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen is Ryomen Sukuna, infamous as the King of Curses. He was a jujutsu sorcerer who became a cursed spirit and was alive a thousand years ago. The curse kept on living by infusing his essence into his twenty fingers, one of which is eaten by Yuji, making him the curse’s vessel.

Sukuna is canonically the strongest character in JJK and one of its fastest characters. Aside from his simple yet deadly CT and his powerful domain, he is also capable of surpassing almost everyone in terms of strength, speed, and hand-to-hand combat.

This is evident in his fights against Gojo and every opponent he’s had till now.

1) Satoru Gojo

Satoru Gojo

The first spot on this ranking of the fastest JJK characters can belong to none other than Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer of the present. Blessed with both of the Inherited CTs of his clan, Six Eyes and Limitless, Gojo’s powers are nothing short of godly. He’s one of the four Special Grade jujutsu sorcerers and currently teaches the first-year students at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Every one of Gojo’s fights is evidence of exactly how fast he is. He’s been shown to move at a speed that cannot be perceived by human eyes and even powerful curses like Jogo and Hanami cannot see him coming. There is plenty to support why Gojo is the fastest character in JJK but the most prominent is him killing 200 modified humans within a blink of an eye.

With our final entry, we conclude our ranking of the top 15 fastest JJK characters. Remember that we’ve ranked these characters based on their feats in the story as of yet and it can change in the future. For example, Yuji has the potential to come out as the fastest character by the end of the story or it could be Sukuna himself. But until then, here is our ranking.
