When a huge white tiger begins to terrorize the orphanage, the authorities suspect Atsushi Nakajima, one of the orphans, and kick him out. Now homeless and hopeless, Atsushi sees a man drowning in the river and jumps in to save him.

Turns out the drowning man is Osamu Dazai, a strange fella who was trying to commit suicide. He also reveals that he’s been investigating the white tiger. Joining Dazai in this investigation, Atsushi will learn the mystery of not only the tiger but also himself.

4) Dragon Ball Z

Following Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z sees Goku married and now a father of young Gohan. A Saiyan always aspires to become stronger, but the enemies he’ll face from now on will be more powerful than anything he’s imagined. 3) Attack on Titan

A global sensation that hooked fans since the very first episode, Attack on Titan is set in a bleak world where humanity lives within three walls to protect themselves from the giant, man-eating Titans.

Watching his mother get eaten by a Titan as he’s forced to flee with his adoptive sister Mikasa and best friend Armin, Eren vows to kill every Titan in the world. Years later, he along with Mikasa and Armin join the military to do just that.

2) Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuji Itadori is an athletically gifted teenager who spends his days with his school’s occult club. One fateful day he encounters Megumi Fushiguro who claims to be a jujutsu sorcerer. Along with the boy find the cursed finger hidden in the school that Fushiguro’s been looking for.

In a desperate attempt to save Fushiguro and himself, Itadori consumes the cursed finger, unwittingly becoming the vessel of the King of Curses: Sukuna. Thus begins Itadori’s journey of becoming a jujutsu sorcerer, where his fate leads to death after he consumes all twenty of Sukuna’s fingers.

1) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Not only is it one of the best action anime on Funimation, but Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is also considered to be one of the greatest anime of all time. The story is about the Elric brothers – Edward and Alphonse – who try to resurrect their mother through the forbidden human transmutation.

But the transmutation fails, causing Edward to lose his arm and Alphonse his whole body. In a desperate attempt to save his brother’s soul, Edward sacrifices his leg to seal Alphonse’s soul to empty metal armor.

Traumatized by their experience, the brothers set out to become state alchemists and find a way to get their bodies back.

6) Fairy Tail

A popular shounen anime with plenty of ecchi thrown in the mix, Fairy Tail starts with a rich girl Lucy Heartfilia who wants to join the famous Fairy Tail guild and have a life of adventure. Her dream comes true when she meets Natsu and his companion Happy.

Forming strong friendships with the wacky but lovable mages of Fairy Tail, Lucy goes on several adventurous quests with her team, consisting of Natsu, Erza, Gray, and Happy, later joined by Wendy and Carla.

6) Seven Deadly Sins

When the Holy Knights of the great kingdom Liones turn against the monarchy, third princess Elizabeth sets out to search for the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, a band of seven incredibly powerful people who are now her only hope to save her kingdom.

As she meets Meliodas, the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, the duo takes on the task of gathering the rest of the sins to save the kingdom of Liones.

5) Noragami

When one thinks of a god, Yato might not be what they imagine. Clad in a tracksuit and with a mischievous grin, Yato will do anything you want for only one yen. He might not have money or respect, but the guy has no lack of optimism.

One day while looking for a cat, he bumps into Hiyori Iki, an ordinary teenager whose spirit separates from her body because of his godly being.

Then comes Yukine, a stray spirit whom Yato takes in as his divine weapon. Together with Hiyori and Yukine, Yato now has his own makeshift family as he works hard to build his own temple.

Partnering with Sakura along with a new teammate Sai, Naruto is resolute in bringing Sasuke back to Konoha. But darkness awaits him as the Akatsuki are on the move to capture the tailed beasts, including Naruto’s Kyuubi.

2) Gintama

Gintama breaks stereotypes as easily as it breaks the fourth wall. Nothing short of a masterpiece, Gintama shows the bizarre everyday life of Gintoki Sakata and his companions: the meek straight-man Shinpachi and the gluttonous alien Kagura.

3) Akame ga Kill!

When naive village boy Tatsumi comes to the capital with his friends, he has no idea what misfortune awaits him. After his friends are tortured and killed by a sadistic rich girl who pretends to be kind, Tatsumi’s heart is broken, and his trust in people is destroyed.

That’s when he meets Akame, a deadly assassin who, along with her comrades of Night Raid, is working in the shadows to overthrow the corrupt Prime Minister of the country. Moved by their ideology and goal, Tatsumi joins the Night Raid.

2) Beyond the Boundary

Being the sole survivor of her clan, Mirai Kuriyama is responsible for hunting the monstrous Youmu as a Spirit World Warrior. However, when she meets Akihito Kanbara, a hybrid of humans and Youmu, she’s surprised to find that she can’t kill him with her blood weapon.

Turns out Akihito is an immortal being. With this new revelation, Akihito and Mirai become friends, with Mirai practicing her technique on the immortal. On Akihito’s insistence, Mirai joins their school’s literary club and meets two other Spirit World Warriors: Hiroomi and Mitsuki Nase.

Parasyte: The Maxim is not only a great action anime on HIDIVE but also an amazing science fiction featuring body horror. The story starts to move as a parasitic alien species invades the world, worming inside unsuspecting humans and taking control of their brains and by extension, their whole bodies.

One such parasite finds its host in Shinichi Izumi, a meek high schooler. But the parasite can’t take control of Shinichi’s brain and instead takes shelter in his right arm instead. Now facing this nightmarish situation, Shinichi has more misfortune to come as these parasites start to take over the world.

5) My Hero Academia

In a world where 80% of the population has superpowers called Quirks, Izuku Midoriya is one of very few to not possess a Quirk. But that won’t stop him from aspiring to become the number one Hero like his idol, All Might.

When one-day Midoriya finally meets his admired Hero, he gains what he always wanted: an opportunity to fulfill his dream. All Might give him One For All, a Quirk so powerful that it destroys Midoraiya’s body. But no pain will stop the boy from reaching his goal.

Hanagaki Takemichi has lived his life as a failure: without friends or hope for the future. Jotaro Kujo gets the biggest shock of his life when he senses a being manifesting out of him. Fearing himself possessed, he lets himself be imprisoned. It’s his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, who informs him that it is a Stand, the physical manifestation of one’s fighting spirit.

When Jotaro’s mom, Holly is cursed with a Stand that will consume her within 50 days, Jotaro and allies set out to find and stop the man responsible: the immortal vampire Dio Brando.

2) Chainsaw Man

In Denji’s misery-filled pathetic life, he has no one but Pochita, his pet Devil. Selling off his organs and working himself bloody to pay the yakuza for his father’s debt, he’s at last killed as a sacrifice by the yakuza to the Zombie Devil.

Desperate to save his life, Pochita becomes his new heart, turning him into a hybrid of man and Devil. And that is the rise of the Chainsaw Man.

1) Spy x Family

Though not outwardly enemies, the nations of Ostania and Westalis are always conspiring to get the upper hand. When there’s intel on Donovan Desmond, an Ostanian politician who is working on something that’ll start a world war, Westalis send their best spy, Twilight, to stop him.

A man of many identities, Twilight becomes a psychiatrist called Loid Forger, who plans to adopt a daughter who can befriend Donovan’s son Damian and give Twilight access to the politician. He ends up adopting Anya, an orphan and, unknown to him, a psychic. There’s also Yor, whom Loid marries, not knowing that she’s a deadly assassin known as the Thorn Princess. Now there’s a false family who comes to care for one another for real.
